Ridwan Minallah Islamic Society of Nigeria started as a prayer group with members drawn mainly from the parents of students of Morkaz Nuur Salaam Islamic Training Centre located at Ebun-Oluwa Memorial Mosque, No. 6, Okunowo Street, Off Love-all Street, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos and founded by Fadeelat Sheikh Alhaji Abdulraheem Bamidele Alli (a.ka. Bonus) on August 21, 2001. The success garnered from this small prayer group made up of parents of the Islamic Training centre transformed into full-blown Asalatu Group named Ridwan-Llah Islamic Society of Nigeria on 2nd February 2002. This new group was still used at Ebun-Oluwa Memorial Mosque as the venue of the activities.
The group depended on cuttings, pastings and photocopies of Nakalis from the Holy Quran and some prayer books as their Asalatu Prayer book. The first Asalatu Prayer Book was published and launched on April 17th, 2004. This really rubbed off very well on the society and engendered a wide recognition and acceptance even beyond its immediate environment. Enlarged and improved versions of the Asalatu Prayer Book have since been published and presently in the Sixth Edition. On 17th September 2006, the second edition of the Prayer Book was rendered and released on an audio cassette.

As a result of this wide acceptance, Ridwan-Llah moved the venue of the society away from the small Ebun-Oluwa Memorial Mosque to the bigger and more comfortable Fiwakeesin Central Mosque which doubles as the society’s National Headquarters at No. 28A, Jimoh Balogun Street, Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The Asalatu which had been holding every Saturday was also changed to Sunday for the great convenience of members and to encourage a much wider attendance.
The modification of the society’s name Ridwan-Lahore Islamic Society of Nigeria to Ridwan Minalahi Islamic Society of Nigeria was informed by the need to meet one of the registration requirement of the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C). The Society was formally registered by C.A.C. on 9th October, 2006 with registration No.
